Faith Formation

Faith Formation

The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship. Deadline to register for the 2023-24 year: September 6th.

Child & Youth Faith Formation

As a parish we value all of the families that call our parish home and we seek to serve them as they pass on the Faith to the next generation. To support families with passing on Tradition, we offer Faith Formation classes for grades 2-9 twice a month after our 9:45 AM Mass. For our younger children (ages 3-6) we offer a Montessori approach to Faith Formation called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). And for our youth and teens, we offer a vibrant joint-parish ministry program called City East Youth Ministry. For more information on each of these programs click the "Learn More" buttons below.

2023-24 Faith Formation & Youth Ministry Schedule

Child & Youth Sacramental Preparation

As has been the case in the past, it is a Diocesan requirement that all children must be enrolled and participating in a Parish or Catholic School Faith Formation program for an entire year before enrolling in their sacramental prep year. That means those wishing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion during 2nd grade, must enroll during 1st grade. Those wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 9th Grade, must enroll during 7th grade.
