Family Faith Online Registration
Faith Formation classes are held twice monthly on Sundays from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM for children entering grades 2-9. Children ages 3 – 6 (entering 1st grade) will have the opportunity to participate in our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, which we began last year, either following the twice monthly Sunday program at St. Ambrose or by attending weekly sessions on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. John’s. Children participating in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be invited on an atrium tour prior to the start of our Atrium sessions.
Last year (2021-2022) we began utilizing a new Faith Formation series called Faith and Life. We will continue to utilize this series for students in grade 2-7, with the textbook curriculum work being done at-home. Our twice a month in-person sessions will dive deeper into the weekly work completed at home and will offer more hands-on work with the various topics they cover, as well as entering more fully into the liturgical life of the Church. Each child will have the opportunity to select whether their at home work is completed via an online system or with the textbook/activity book combo that we used during the 2021-2022 school year. The content will be the same, it is just the delivery method and review that is different! You can select which option you prefer when registering.
As has been the case in the past, it is a Diocesan requirement that all children must be enrolled and participating in a Parish or Catholic School Faith Formation program for an entire year before enrolling in their sacramental prep year. That means those wishing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion during 2nd grade, must enroll during 1st grade. Those wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 9th Grade, must enroll during 7th grade.
