All registered parishioners with children in K-8 should have received a mailing with all of this information. If you did not receive your mailing, please contact the parish office to make sure we have your correct address.
The family faith program is developed for families with children who do not attend Catholic schools. The objective of the Religious Education program is to teach (catechize) the children and their families about their faith.
Six times a year the entire family is expected to attend our general family gatherings. These are held on Monday evenings at St. Ambrose and on Tuesdays at St. John the Evangelist from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
In addition to the family sessions each child is expected to complete a religion textbook appropriate for their grade level. There are THREE options for doing this: HOME STUDY which involves parents and child (with the help of a home guide) work on the course material at their own pace throughout the year. SUMMER SESSION which involves the child attending classes in August. During this time the children cover the material in the textbook, learn songs, do crafts, play games and have an all around great time. The third option is for the child SUNDAY CLASSES on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays from 11:00 am - 12:30 between October and May.
Summer Session classes are taught by professional teachers of the Catholic faith. We offer a small stipend for people interested in teaching. If you are interested in teaching please call us at the number below
